Yoga For Scoliosis
Scoliosis is a three dimensional curvature of the spine with additions of twists, torques and rotations to individual vertebra within the curvatures the spinal column. I am a certified Yoga for Scoliosis practitioner.
When students with scoliosis come to me for private yoga we work in one-on-one sessions. Together we explore what your curvature is and what your body needs. With a regular practice, you can ease pain, explore self awareness and learn to balance your body in a graceful way minimizing further curvature of the spine.
Psychologically, yoga practice can be very empowering, giving hope to improve our condition and quality of life by using a simple repetitive daily practice of yoga. The goal is not to make the “perfect” spine but to find your center and your personal balance and alignment for freedom and ease.
