In Ayurveda it is traditional that we cleanse the body twice a year (spring and fall) on a mono diet of kichari and colorful cooked vegetables to help prepare the body for the coming season and clean out any accumulations from the previous season. In the northern hemisphere, that means we are preparing for winter and all that season brings with it. The mono diet allows for your digestive system to rest and default any food and lifestyle habits that might have come up for you over the past few months. It’s a good, simple, easy way to check in and take care of yourself.
